FAG supply all kinds of rolling bearings used in oil production:

  • Double-row tapered roller bearings for sheaves in the crown blocks and travelling blocks.
  • Tapered roller thrust bearings in the swivels.
  • Two angular contact thrust ball bearings for moving the rotary tables (or one double-row angular contact thrust ball bearing).

The classical mud pumps are piston pumps. The connecting rods are guided on the crankshaft in special cylindrical roller bearings with split adapter sleeves. The crankshaft is supported in the housing both by spherical roller bearings and by tapered roller bearings.

 

National Oilwell Varco’s HEX MUD PUMP is a new development. The Schaeffler Group supplies the rolling bearings, cam disk and linear bearings for this pump as well as the relevant condition monitoring system.
